| This program is administered by the Rhode Island Housing Development Corporation, a subsidiary of RIHousing.
The Rhode Island Housing Development Corporation, a non-profit affiliate of RIHousing, seeks grant proposals to facilitate and accelerate affordable and mixed-income housing development by providing municipalities (including public housing authorities) and non-profit and for-profit developers with site-specific predevelopment assistance.
Approximately $650,000 will be available to make grants of up to $75,000 to developers and municipalities for pre-development technical assistance. Grantees will hire consultants to provide services to evaluate the feasibility of developing housing on sites identified in grant applications.
Technical assistance may include but not be limited to the skills of civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, landscape architects, land use planners, attorneys, cost estimators, market analysts, housing consultants, economic analysts, and/or professionals with experience in brownfields remediation and other environmental and development concerns.
