BID12FY2526 Winter Sand
The Town of Foster, Department of Public Works is requesting proposals for WINTER SAND. Bid specifications will meet ASTM-33 standards BID WILL CONTAIN AN ORIGINAL AND FOUR COPIES IN A SEALED ENVELOPE MARKED CLEARLY WITH PROJECT TITLE.
All sealed bids must be delivered to the Foster Town Clerk, to be stamped received at the Foster Town Hall, 181 Howard Hill Road, Foster, RI 02825, no later than 1:00 p.m. September 25, 2025.
The bids will be opened at that time and will be awarded at the next FOSTER TOWN COUNCIL MEETING.
The Town of Foster reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any portion thereof.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR WINTER SAND
1. Any variance from the specifications supplied shall be specifically stated by the bidder on their proposal.
2. The quantities listed are approximate due to circumstances that cannot be predicted in advance. Under the bid, the Town of Foster reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of material needed.
3. No bidder may withdraw or change their bid within 90 days after the opening of bids.
4. Winter road sand shall be free of any debris, rocks, clay, or chunks of hardened material.
5. All material shall meet or exceed the screening requirements provided.
6. All bids shall reflect a per ton price delivered to the Foster Highway Garage and a per ton price if picked up.
7. Any questions shall be directed to the Department of Public Works, 401-392-9204.
