| The Town of Cumberland seeks a qualified firm to prepare schematic design and construction documents, and assist with bidding, design development, and construction oversight for the Final Design and Construction Oversight of Valley Falls Heritage Park.
The Master Plan for Valley Falls Heritage Park has recently been completed. It has re-envisioned the park as a Resilience Hub that promotes the community’s health, education, and access to work. Extensive public outreach was conducted to create the park’s Master Plan.
Valley Falls Heritage Park will function in harmony with the proposed community center across the street (Amaral Building/16 Mill Street). The Amaral Building (circa 1890) will be adaptively reused as the new Office of Community Based Outreach and Health. Programming here will include health screenings, job assistance, English as a second language classes, and housing and heating assistance services. The purpose is to provide services to the low-income and moderate-income residents of the Valley Falls, Lonsdale, and Central Falls neighborhoods.
